WALKABOUT CREEK BRISBANE WEDDING
Jo + Adam
Jo & Adam knew each other as teens, but caught up again at the Geelong Waterfront on New Years Eve 2008 and the rest is history.
Adam made his move on asking the big question just as Jo had returned home from a 6 week trip to the USA. Jo tells me “Adam waited patiently as I unpacked everything, sorted out the gifts and give him his gift, and then got down on one knee” … “I was shocked (also hadn’t slept for about 40 hours) so thought he was joking, he wasn’t, so I said yes“.
Jo & Adam chose to get married at Walkabout Creek, a wedding venue set amongst the Australian bush just outside of Brisbane city as it felt like home in Northern Victoria. A peaceful, natural setting surrounded by a tranquil rainforest is ideal for an outdoor ceremony surrounded by their loved ones who travelled from near and far including New Zealand to celebrate with the newlyweds.
Walkabout Creek offers 3 separate ceremony spaces and 2 reception rooms. Jo & Adam chose the new outdoor lawn space for their outdoor ceremony. Then moving into one of the reception rooms for the evening celebrations.

AN OUTDOOR CEREMONY AMONGST THE AUSTRALIAN BUSH AT WALKABOUT CREEK
Jo walked down the aisle on the arms of the two most important men in her life to the acoustic version of When I Look At You by Miley Cyrus. Something special about their wedding, was Adam’s mum is a Melbourne celebrant and conducted the service adding a sentimental and personal touch to saying their vows.
Adam tells me his favourite memory from the day was “Jo walking down the aisle” and Jo’s was “seeing Adam for the first time that day”.
Congratulations to the newlyweds … Mr + Mrs Randall.

The Banksia Room is one of the reception rooms at Walkabout Creek. For more reception photos watch the wedding highlights slideshow.
Jo & Adam chose In Case You Didn’t Know by Brett Young for their first dance song which they danced to on a cloud of dry ice.
Jo’s advice for other bride-to-be’s planning their wedding is …
“Don’t stress about the little things and enjoy every moment. Go with your gut instinct.”
“ Getting the photos done after the ceremony and photos from earlier in the day were my favourite funny moments from the wedding day “
– Jo & Adam
