A MONTVILLE GARDEN WEDDING WITH EUROPEAN INSPIRED ELEGANCE AT SPICERS CLOVELLY ESTATE
Words taken from the Spicers Clovelly Estate website where Amy & James were married recently “The French call it joie de vivre, a feeling that life isn’t just good, it’s something to be embraced and enjoyed every day” – that was certainly the feeling embraced by Amy & James on their wedding day at Spicers Retreat in Montville.
The Spicers Clovelly Estate provides an elegant setting for a relaxed garden wedding celebration. As you pass between the grand figs as you enter the property, you are met with groves of magnolias and gardenias that frame the stunning French-provincial architecture of the main guest house. The wedding lawn features a magnificent Jacaranda tree. With accommodation on site including a bridal suite and the farmhouse complete with spa, and a restaurant and pool, the bride and groom don’t need to leave the property from the time they arrive until when they depart.
The perfect venue for Amy & James’s Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding after having spent time living abroad in England and Nice, France.
The groom and groomsmen were relaxing in the farmhouse with family members. James would be the guy you want to hang with at a party, life of the party with stories to tell. I could tell all this from just a few minutes spent with the boys when he had them all laughing. James works for a winery so it was only fitting there were a few photos with drinks.
As for the bride and bridesmaids, there were chilling out in the spa retreat suite getting pampered for the day ahead.
Wedding days always bring with them lots of emotions and memories, the good and the sad. And while the girls were trying to avoid bringing up a particular subject that had a sad memory, there was a couple of tears. And apart from not wanting to ruin the makeup before you walk down the aisle, I think it’s a small gesture of a way you can bring the memory of family member that has passed, into the memories of the couple’s special day.
