Megan & Alistair
Lifestyle Maternity Photography Brisbane
Last Sunday Megan & Alistair had booked in their lifestyle maternity photography session.
The weather all day was looking like a perfect Brisbane afternoon with blue skies and sunshine up until the time I left home. By the time I got to our photo location 15 minutes up the road, a forest on the Brisbane north side, a rain shower had struck. By the time Megan & Alistair arrived, the sun had came out and started raining again.
We decided to wait it out even though the entire sky was clouded over and gray. We knew we’d have a short window of time to get at least some photos. But with maternity sessions, we don’t really have time to reschedule, so it was lets just go for it and see what happens. I had primed Megan & Alistair that it probably would rain again, so we’d focus on the must-have photos first, then fit it more if we have time. I did warn them, we most likely will get wet and they were happy to get some photos in the rain.
We got a good amount of cute belly photos and even setup their picnic setting before the rain came down. When I saw the treetops blowing, it was high time we got out of the forest. We headed for the cars and got totally drenched, looking like drowned rats. But we got some very cute baby bump photos!
On the way home, and just a short distance up the road, there were tree branches covering the road, that much that we had to cross the medium strip to the other side of the road in order to get through. Then just another short distance up the road, it was back to sunshine and blue skies. Crazy Queensland November weather.
