Jessica & Matt planned an intimate, country wedding in Maleny to celebrate the beginning of their marriage.
Jessica & Matt’s love story began by them meeting on a blind date, planned by one of Jessica’s beauty clients. And as they say, the rest is history.
Matt had proposed at the Maleny/Montville Lookout so it was only natural that’s where they ended up getting married.
They fell in love with Victoria’s Chapel for it’s unique rustic charm and the privacy the property offers to say their I-do’s in front of a gathering of their closest family and friends.
Jessica tells me her favourite moment from the day, was when she finally met Matt at the alter and taking his hand in hers. Jessica walked down the aisle on her father’s arm to A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys.
The property around Victoria’s Chapel is a photographers dream. The rolling green hills, plenty of trees, rustic fences, barn … and horses too! Jessica recalls some of the funniest moments from the day was the laughs and giggles we had throughout the bridal photo shoot in the paddock with the horses, and dodging the horse poo. Because love is stepping through horse poop together!
They chose the Montville Pub for the evening celebrations as they have been eating there for years. Now they will have to continue eating there, well at least once a year, to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Jessica undertook a few DIY projects to decorate the venue, utilising Google, Pinterest and Etsy for inspiration. There were save the dates, wedding invitations, table decorations, name cards, wishing well and seating plan.
Later in the evening during the reception, Jess & Matt did an impromptu first dance to You & me by Life House.
Jessica & Matt honeymooned in beautiful Vanuatu.
When asking Jessica what advice would she give other brides planning a wedding, she said “Have a great photographer, keep the wedding simple and be true to yourself and your style.”
