St Paul’s Anglican Church Ipswich | The Ipswich Club – Ipswich wedding venue
Lauren & Simon called themselves ‘The Bug’ and ‘The Pest’ on their wedding service stationery, but they definitely didn’t earn those nicknames on their wedding day, they were an absolute blast as you will see during their location photo shoot as we wandered the streets of Ipswich.
If I were to describe Lauren & Simon’s wedding style, Im not sure quite where I would start. It had the feel of a retro urban wedding being in the heart of Ipswich. Push all those stories of Ipswich aside because this wedding was oh so cool. But at the same time, there was a very vintage vibe with twine, hessian, lace, roses and babies breath scattered throughout the room in mason jars.
Lauren wore a stunning wedding gown and long length veil featuring beautiful lace and was custom designed by the bride herself and sewn together by Sew Formal.
Simon looked dashing in his navy suit, checked shirt and who doesn’t love a bowtie!
There ceremony was at the charming St Paul’s Anglican Church were one particular bestman was eager for Simon to get that ring on Lauren’s finger.
Then comes the bridal party portraits – oh boy did we have some awesome locations and strangely for me no grass, trees or nature insight, just lots of funky brick walls and I was equally in my element.
First stop was the Ultimate Image Tattoo & Piercing – a huge thanks to Janelle & Ange for letting us use their gorgeous front reception area for photos, which had a cute antique lounge and distressed brickwall, that Lauren & I discovered on a pre-wedding location scouting trip. As we continued on our walk around the town we found cool sidewalks and alleyways, and who can resist a few photos in the shopping trolleys that we passed, not us.
While I could have kept going for hours taking photos of this bridal party, we did have a party to get too. The photo booth lets say went off big time and The Ipswich Club was decked out to look pretty amazing with candles and fairy lights, mountains of macaroons and waffle cones. After chicken sliders, fish & chips and beef ravioli, it was time for speeches and of course time to break out some moves on the dance floor.
