DALBY WEDDING VENUE SPOTLIGHT
COUNTRY STYLE WEDDING VENUE NEAR DALBY QUEENSLAND
Dalby wedding venue, Jimbour Station is a country style wedding venue near Dalby, Queensland is one of Brisbane’s unique wedding venues that offers good old fashioned country charm as a backdrop to your wedding day.
As one of Queensland’s country wedding venues, the Jimbour House estate provides a quaint homely experience as the couple and their guests have exclusive use of the entire property throughout the duration of their special day.
The Jimbour experience is second to none with Jimbour Events planning your dream wedding day. With planning leading up to your special day, and on the day off being there to co-ordinate and assist with setting up and styling. As a wedding photographer, I have the opportunity to photograph at many Queensland wedding venues, I can only say great things about the Jimbour Events team.
We haven’t even talked about the beautiful homestead and romantic gardens that could resemble Tuscany, plus incredible views of the Australian country landscape beyond the fences. Complete with an aircraft hangar out back for your evening reception. Jimbour Station is a photographer’s dream with endless photo opportunities and locations around the property grounds.
With such stunning surroundings and a beautiful Australian bush landscape already as your backdrop, styling can be kept to a minimum. This charming rural Queensland wedding venue speaks for itself – it is beautiful in its own right that you wont feel the need to over style, which will help the budget.
Jimbour House provides two types of accommodation; the main homestead and the separate cottages. The ideal getting ready accommodation for your bridal party, as it’s just a short walk across the lawn to the ceremony & reception for getting there and home again. The groom and groomsmen could get ready in the cottages while the bride and bridesmaids can have the homestead to themselves to prepare for the day ahead.
For outdoor ceremonies, you have the choice between the central courtyard, the lawn in front of the figtree or pebbled driveway. For indoor ceremonies, the chapel or aircraft hangar work perfect, which can also serve as your wet weather backup ceremony locations. The pavilion with views of the countryside is another undercover ceremony option for smaller intimate weddings.
For after your ceremony, guests can mingle in the central courtyard or the lawn in front of the figtree.
Jimbour Station has many options for photos. The many garden options, homestead verandahs, country field, airstrip and hangar, and pebbled driveway, all make for wonderful backdrops for your bridal party location photos. All while your guests mingle and enjoy a relaxed garden party while served canapés and refreshments in the courtyard. With so many photo location opportunities there is no reason to leave Jimbour – so once you arrive at the estate, you don’t need to leave until it’s time to depart when the wedding is over.
The Aircraft Hangar with big sliding doors open up to a country paddock and the Australian outback beyond. A chance to watch the sunset as guests are sitting down to the wedding festivities. Alternatively you could have a marquee reception or hold it under the stars in the garden.
Jimbour Station is located near Dalby in the Darling Downs region. About 3 hours drive from Brisbane, past Toowoomba, making it your perfect country style wedding venue for a destination wedding.
If you don’t want stiff, overly posed wedding photos, but rather natural photos that depict real moments as they happen on your big day, then have a browse through my wedding portfolio. I have photographed a country wedding at Jimbour Station, however, the couple have asked for privacy and the images to not be blogged so there are no people photos featured here.
