George & Rufus

A sneak peek from George & Rufus’s Brisbane Medieval Festival wedding at Samford Scout Camp grounds.

I’ve been overloading on Scottish/Viking themed TV series on Netflix lately, including Outlander and The Last Kingdom, so I felt like I had jumped right through my screen for George & Rufus’s medieval festival wedding. The groom and groomsmen wore kilts, the bride and bridesmaids wore tartan-patterned wraps, and the bride’s bouquet was full of red and black roses.

The afternoon festivities included a jumping castle, sumo-wrestling costumes for play fighting, many games including Croquet, noughts & crosses, giant Jenga, sack races, egg & spoon races. There was a lady on stilts, as well as a medieval fighting tournament and fire twirlers. Plus much more to entertain the 200+ guest list. Even the couple’s dog was part of the day – as they had brought him back from the USA and a big part of the family, it was only natural.

Congrats to George & Rufus on this next big adventure together. Enjoy your honeymoon in France.

I can’t wait to blog the full wedding day … watch this space!
